This is my all-time favorite tree, the aspen tree. This tree represents Utah, Colorado, and basically everything I love about the Rocky Mountain Region...hunting, camping, fishing, and beautiful fall mountain colors.
We planted this tree in the fall of 2007. It was about 8 feet tall then, today it is probably 15 feet tall.
View from the south side of the main garden...starting to see some green!
I planted these rows of potatoes when my mom and Lacey came into town to visit (April 14-17). My mom helped me plant. They seem to be growing faster than the plot to the right. The difference is that the plot on the left has potatoes planted in trenches and the right plot has potatoes planted in regular potato holes.
Broccoli plants growing tall.
Spinach plants getting bigger!
Rows of peas...for some reason only about half of my peas are coming up.
The first potato plant coming up in eary May!
Not to mention you have a niece named Aspen, thats the real reason you love Aspen trees. I love your blog. Your garden looks great. Just two weeks ago we decided to plat a garden. We'll see how well it does....
